Conduit Solutions was initially engaged to aid in the development of the strategic direction of this new consumer exhibition. Almost immediately, it was determined that the breadth of the project required much more involvement than originally anticipated.
Subsequently, Conduit Solutions entered into a joint venture, and was instrumental in developing the marketing message, all collateral and content for the show, in addition to leading the sales and media front. The inaugural event was a success, with over 80 exhibitors and 5000 attendees.

Couple Makeover - Every issue a lucky couple wins an amazing fashion, style, and life makeover held and photographed at a fabulous resort. Advertisers were offered a complete promotional package that included exclusive sponsorship in their segment (i.e. LOreal style, Point Zero fashion), product placement, an advertorial write-up, reader survey, online coverage and advertising in 2 Magazine.
As the National Account Manager, I (Jason Daley - President of Conduit Solutions) actively managed relationships with 50 accounts of advertisers and media agencies. I also played a major role in the sales development and creation of promotional programs for advertisers. I recommended that a successful promotion (Room makeover) be developed into an ongoing series, and that additional advertisers be brought on board to broaden the appeal while at the same time being flexible enough to be tailored to individual client needs. Proving right, I sold top brand-name advertisers, such as Redken, Point Zero clothing, and Club Med into the couple makeover program, which remains one of 2 Magazine's most successful advertising vehicles.

Case Study: EDAY Software Collateral
Company: Meriton Networks is an optical wavelength networking equipment developer for the communications industry.
Challenge: With a new product ready to launch, Meriton’s President, Mike Gassewitz, set out a 100-Day corporate wide plan to reach the next major milestone of a client product trial with a Tier 1 communications carrier. My pivotal role was to initiate relationships and build awareness.
Analysis: Such a complex task required strategic planning combined with flawless execution. First step, I performed market and industry (analyst) research in conjunction with a competitive analysis to fully understand the competitive playing field. A thorough process of identifying potential clients and key decision makers followed this.
Action: With management buy-in, I devised a multi-faceted advertising campaign targeted at a select number of key senior decision makers at 29 Tier 1 communication carriers.
AD Campaign:
Challenge: To create a tradeshow booth that was truly exceptional, functional, and that conveys the key corporate messages. Just as important, this was the Meriton’s first official tradeshow exhibition and the launch of their first product in the market. (Supercomm 2002, Atlanta) Analysis: I performed an internal needs analysis to determine the technical and functional requirements for the booth. Externally, I interviewed and evaluated potential suppliers to develop a short list of invited bidders. To be as objective as possible, I created an extensive creative brief, a request for proposal (RFP), and evaluation matrix in which to make our selection.
Action: The tradeshow project required the co-ordination of many critical and concurrent activities, in addition to, actively managing project milestones, deadlines, resources and staff.
1) Booth Design & Production: Overseeing the production of the winning design build and keeping track of the revision and resource requests.
2) Logistics: Adhered to strict requirements from manpower to electrical power, and booth construction to timetable de-construction. In addition, staff and booth services were booked and scheduled, while critical path elements were triple-checked.
3) Promotion: A comprehensive advertising campaign was executed in advance of the tradeshow to solidify client meetings and promote the company’s product launch.
4) Travel & Shipping: Determining the itinerary for up to 20 persons plus all the paperwork and approvals needed for cross-border shipping of hundreds of thousands worth of communications equipment.
